The Attleboro Cultural Council is comprised of area volunteers with an interest 
in supporting the arts and humanities in the city of Attleboro.  
Our mission is to promote excellence, access, education and diversity 
in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences.

Grant Proposals 

The Attleboro Cultural Council LCC Grants fund proposals from organizations, schools, and individuals. Council grants support a variety of arts, science, and humanities projects in Attleboro -- including exhibits, festivals, lectures, workshops in the areas of music, theatre, dance, nature programs, poetry, the humanities, science, history, literature, visual arts, short-term artist residencies or performances in schools.  The Cultural Council  also entertains funding proposals from schools and youth groups through the PASS Program, which provides subsidies for school-age children to attend cultural field trips.

Grant applications are available beginning in September at City Hall, Attleboro Public Library, or here on our website.   The grant applications for the 2010 grant cycle will be due to the Cultural Council c/o Attleboro City Hall by October 15, 2010.  

 

ACC Grant Writing Workshops 

To help applicants in preparing an effective grant proposal requesting funding through an ACC grantthe Cultural Council each year holds a workshop  "Tips on Preparing a Grant Proposal to the Attleboro Cultural Council" at the Attleboro Public Library. Details on the September 2010 LCC grant writing workshop will be posted here on our website and online at The Sun Chronicle's website www.thesunchronicle.com  


The workshop is free and open-to-the public for residents, non-profit cultural organizations, artists, musicians, writers, lecturers, historians, environmentalists, actors, dancers, poets, hands-on science programs and schools interested in applying for funding from the Attleboro Cultural Council.

TA Carron, David Vecchioli, Kathi Gariepy and Attiya Chaudary joind the Cultural Council for the 2010 grant cycle.  If you are a resident of Attleboro, you are always welcome to attend any of our monthly meetings to learn more about membership!  

If you are interested in promoting the local arts and awarding thousands of dollars to Attleboro cultural activities, please consider joining us.  Write a letter to Mayor Kevin J. Dumas, Attleboro City Hall, 77  Park Street, Attleboro MA  02703 expressing your interest in volunteering to serve as a member of the Cultural Committee.  The Mayor will submit your name to the City Council for approval.  Once the City Council votes, you will be invited to the City Clerk's office to be sworn in and receive your appointment.
